MQO Research spoke with 400 residents of New Brunswick to gauge the political temperature in the province for the Summer edition of our quarterly political poll: Atlantic Matters.
Provincial Politics
According to the latest polling numbers, the PCs maintained their lead while support for the Greens dropped back this quarter. Among decided and leaning voters:
- PC Party support edged up 3 percentage points to 43%.
- Liberal support held relatively steady at 31%.
- Support for the Green Party dropped by 7 percentage points to 13%.
- Support for the People’s Alliance trended up 4 percentage points to 9%.
- NDP support held steady at 3%.
“The provincial Tories are holding steady in the province,” said Stephen Moore, Vice President at MQO Research. “They are either leading or tied in every region of the province.”
The Atlantic Matters poll was conducted by telephone from August 6th to August 14th, 2019 and included 400 randomly selected eligible voters from across the province. The margin of error for the total sample is ± 4.9 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
