(MONCTON, NB) – With the provincial election just days away, the Progressive Conservatives hold a strong lead according to our latest Atlantic Matters poll.
Among decided voters, the Progressive Conservatives garnered 43% support followed by the Liberals at 27%, Green Party at 17%, the NDP at 6% and the People’s Alliance at 5%.
“Support for the Progressive Conservatives is strong across the major centres of Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John while the Liberals are polling better in rural areas,” said Lianne Sarson, VP Research and Engagement with MQO.
The poll also ranked the Federal Liberals in first place among decided voters with 42% support, the Conservatives in second at 31%, the Greens in third with 14%, followed by the NDP at 9% and the People’s Party at 1%. The poll of 400 New Brunswickers was in the field from August 12th to September 2nd, 2020.
