Atlantic Matters Poll – Liberals Hold Strong Lead in NL

(ST. JOHN’S, NL) – The Liberal Party retains a significant lead in Newfoundland and Labrador, with 56% support.

Among decided and leaning voters, the Progressive Conservatives have 26% support, a 6% increase from December 2020. Support for the NDP trails the PCs at 15% with a 4-point increase since the December poll.

“Support for the Liberal Party is strong across all areas of the province. Despite a drop from the peak level of support in December of 2020, support currently surpasses the 2021 election results.”, said Lianne Sarson, Vice-President, Research and Engagement with MQO.

The poll of 400 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians was in the field from June 12th to July 10th, 2021.
