(ST. JOHN’S, NL) – The economy is the top issue for voters, according to our latest Atlantic Matters poll.
Among those surveyed, 32% cited the economy as the top issue during the 2021 provincial election. Other key issues included:
- Healthcare – 18%
- COVID-19 response – 18%
- Future of NL – 17%
- Moya Greene Report – 5%
- Oil and gas support – 5%
“The economy was the top election issue particularly among males, those 35 and over and Liberal voters.” said Lianne Sarson, VP Research and Engagement with MQO.
The poll of 400 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians was collected from February 26th to March 17th, 2021.
